Primary paper is the three-line ruling American schools use from kindergarten to second grade: a solid headline, a dashed midline and a solid baseline, with a skip space below. It comes in steps, and 3/4 inch is the middle one — smaller than a kindergarten sheet, larger than the half-inch paper of second grade.
Nothing else is on the page, which makes it the sheet for journals, spelling lists and copying out a sentence. Turn on the name and date header in the page settings if the sheet is going to be handed in.

Kindergarten through second grade. Rows start at about 1 inch, drop to 3/4 or 5/8 inch during first grade, and reach 1/2 inch by second.
Descenders. The tails of g, j, p, q and y hang below the baseline, and the gap keeps them clear of the row underneath.
Yes. The middle guide can be dashed, solid, two lines dividing the row into thirds, or switched off.
