A full hundreds chart is a lot of numbers for a four- or five-year-old. Half of it is easier to take in: five rows, each starting one ten further on, with the same ones digits repeating down every column.
The squares are 18 mm across, the same as on the hundreds chart. Set the last number to 20 or 30 for a smaller chart, or to 100 when the class is ready for the whole thing.
